Counseling Psychologist
Sally is an American, Canadian, and Egyptian counselor. She received her M.A. in counseling psychology from the American University in Cairo. Due to her academic excellence, Sally was accepted into and is currently a member of the Psi Chi international honor society.
Sally has gained valuable experience working with a variety of clients including adolescents and adults. She had the opportunity to work with clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, ADHD, eating disorders, sexual trauma, PTSD, childhood trauma, and relationship issues. Sally has also gained experience in her training by working with children ages 3-18 in an international school (AISE) which focused helping students with emotional regulation, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills.
Sally uses an integrative approach with a primary focus on the person-centered approach. Sally emphasizes the importance of empathy, unconditional positive regard, and being nonjudgmental with clients. Sally’s focus is the client, their safety, and their comfort. Sally conducts sessions in English but is comfortable if the client speaks Arabic during sessions.
