Counseling Psychologist
Randa Effat is an Egyptian Australian psychotherapist who holds an MA in Counseling Psychology from the American University in Cairo (AUC) and a certification in DBT from the Linehan Institute for the treatment of borderline personality disorders. She is also a member of EAGT, Egyptian Assocation for Group Therapy. Serving as a psychologist at the Behman Hospital, she has gained extensive experience in working with both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Randa provides counseling and psychological services to individuals and groups, including adolescents, adults, and couples. She helps individuals cope with life’s challenges and improving overall mental health. Her areas of expertise include providing psychotherapy for depression, bipolar and other mood disorders , anxiety, and personality disorders. One of her field of expertise is working with both adults and adolescents struggling with relationships, anger as well as familial and self-esteem issues.
