During her training, Amal gained experience working with clients who are dealing with borderline personality disorder (BPD), Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, OCD, and relationship issues.
Amal's approach to therapy is based on Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Person-Centered approaches. She is also now pursuing her training in DBT with Behavioral Tech and will be internationally certified to apply the DBT skills with her clients at the end of the coming year. She believes that the key for clients to heal is to provide them with an environment that is based on validation, support, and active listening. She helps clients to better understand themselves, and be more self-aware of their core issues, needs, and values.
Amal's mission is to help clients have better lives, connect with themselves, and fight against the stigma that exists around mental health.
