Dr. Nasser Loza, MD, FRCPsych.
Consultant Psychiatrist
Dr. Loza is a licensed, British trained psychiatrist with over twenty five years experience. Dr. Loza serves as medical consultant to the Maadi Psychology Center. He collaborates with therapists on all medical and psychiatric issues. In addition to his involvement with the Center Dr. Loza is the medical director of Behman Psychiatric Hospital in Helwan. Dr. Loza also holds clinic hours in various areas of Cairo.
Dr. Sherif F. Atallah Msc, BCPsych, FRCPsych
Consultant Psychiatrist
Dr. Atallah is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Medical Director at the Behman Psychiatric Hospital in Helwan, and Clinical Tutor for the Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK. He holds an MSc in Neuropsychiatry from Cairo, as well as the FRCPsych and Board Certification in Psychiatry from the UK. Dr. Atallah has many years of experience, both in the UK and in Egypt, and his interests cover the areas of General Adult Psychiatry, medical treatments of depression, anxiety disorders and chemical dependence as well as psychiatric emergencies.
Dr. Malak Sherif Doss MBBCh, MSc, MD Psychiatry, MRCPsych
Consultant Psychiatrist
Dr. Doss works as a Consultant Psychiatrist at the Women’s inpatient unit at the Behman Hospital in Cairo. Her areas of expertise are Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Women’s Mental Health and General Adult Psychiatry. She has an interest in anxiety, mood disorders, psychosis, eating disorders, substance use disorders, ADHD, and disruptive disorders of childhood. Consultations are done in both English and Arabic. Dr. Doss obtained her MBBCh from Cairo University in 2005 and trained at Kasr El Aini, Cairo University as a resident in Psychiatry. She obtained her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Psychiatry from Cairo University and the membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists - UK. She is a member of the American Psychiatric association and the Egyptian Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Association. She has done clinical training in Psychiatry at the Maudsley Hospital and King’s college London. Dr. Doss has published her research internationally and presented her work at conferences. She regularly attends regional and international conferences.
Dr. Nayla Grace, MBBCh, ABPsych, MRCPsych
Consultant Psychiatrist
Dr. Grace is a graduate of October 6th University – School of Medicine, class of 2010. She had her internship at Kasr il Aini, Cairo University, as well as a trainee at The Behman Hospital. She started working as a registrar at The Behman Hospital in 2012 and was appointed as senior registrar in 2014. Dr. Grace received training in St. Marys Hospital, London, Neurology Department, Stroke Unit. She was awarded The Arab Board of Psychiatry (ABPsych) in 2016, and became a member of The Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2017. She became specialist psychiatrist at The Behman Hospital in 2016, and Deputy Medical Director. Dr. Grace specializes in adult mental health, treating a wide range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders and substance abuse. Over her career, Dr. Grace devotes her clinical practice in helping those struggling with low self-esteem, relationship problems, and feelings of emptiness and loss of satisfaction in life. She works integratively tailoring her approach to suit each persons needs and goals by drawing on CBT, DBT and mindfulness based treatments.
Dr. Nagi Riad MD, RCPSC certified
Consultant Psychiatrist
Dr. Riad is a Canadian trained Psychiatrist with over 25 years of experience. He is a member of the Canadian Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and the Canadian Medical Association. He is registered with the Medical Council of Canada.
His interests cover the areas of emergency psychiatry & crisis intervention, treatment of children & adolescents with suicide & severe and disabling psychiatric illness, and medical education where he taught at the University of Toronto, Medical School for over 20 years. Prior to Psychiatry Dr. Riad practiced as a General Practitioner.
Dr. Riad offers services in both English and Arabic at the Sheikh Zayed, Ramsis and Heliopolis Clinics.
Sharon E. Perry Dip. Psy. Couns. MBACP
Clinic Director and Senior Psychotherapist
Sharon has been working in clinics in Egypt since 2010 and is a British trained counsellor. She has extensive experience of working with adults and young people of many cultures including European and Indian culture. She is trained in individual, group, family and couples therapy. She also lived in Saudi Arabia for 5 years helping her to become familiar with Middle Eastern culture. Sharon specializes in eating disorders, addiction issues and trauma. Sharon is currently training to become a Nutritional therapist and believes that nutrition and lifestyle has a huge impact on our mental health. She offers nutritional counselling, nutrition assessments and meal planning for eating disorders, weight loss and medical dietary needs such as diabetes, cholesterol and heart problems, allergies, food intolerances and skin disorders. Sharon is also extensively knowledgeable with vegetarian and vegan dietary needs.
Dr. Mona Al Dabbagh, PhD
Senior Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Mona received her master’s degree (MA) from the American University in Cairo in 1996 and her doctorate (PhD) in 2004. She specialized in addiction and substance abuse. Dr. Mona mainly treats adults suffering from anxiety, depression, as well as addiction, and adults who need marriage counseling. She masters and uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychoanalytic techniques in her therapy depending upon the need of the individual patient. Dr. Mona has more than 20 years of experience in treating clients in both hospital settings and out-patient clinics. She has worked with clients from both Middle Eastern and Western cultural backgrounds and conducts therapy in either Arabic or English.
Monda Joseph, MA Psych, MAPS
Child and Adolescent Psychologist
Monda is an Australian-licensed child and adolescent psychologist, with a Masters degree from the University of Western Sydney, Australia. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. Having worked in Sydney and Egypt, Monda provides psychological services for children and adolescents with academic, behavioural, and/or emotional difficulties: ADHD, depression, anxiety, bereavement and learning difficulties. She also conducts comprehensive developmental and cognitive assessments for children and adolescents. Monda uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) infused with art and play techniques that are suitable for each age group. Her approach relies heavily on parental training with a special focus on building positive attachment. She is fluent in both Arabic and English.
